ENCORE BY MINGARA…..luxe vibes without the luxe price tag!
Let me be completely honest with you — I’m super particular when it comes to where I stay. Clean isn’t enough. I want fresh, refined, and thoughtfully designed spaces that feel as good as they look. When I find a place that ticks all the boxes and feels like a little sanctuary away from the chaos, it goes straight on my “Naomi Recommends” list.
I recently stayed at Encore by Mingara on the NSW Central Coast while attending a business function nearby, and it absolutely blew me away. From the moment I arrived to the moment I checked out, I felt looked after, relaxed, and genuinely impressed, and that’s not easy to achieve.
Here’s why this one’s a standout.
The Hotel…..beyond impressive
You’re welcomed by a striking pink “M” sign and even warmer hospitality. The hotel itself is modern, inviting, and exceptionally clean. I don’t just mean tidy, but truly cared for. There’s a cosy fireplace in the foyer, a lounge and dining space nearby, and an atmosphere that feels more boutique than chain.
The reception team were warm, attentive, and genuinely interested in why I was staying. A small detail that made a big impact.
Car parking is easy and spacious (bonus points for overflow parking just steps away in the club car park).
The Room…..luxe without the luxe price
I stayed in their entry-level room, and honestly, it was better than many upgraded rooms I’ve had elsewhere.

Comfy reading chair + table and chairs
Exceptionally clean
Dreamy bed and bedding
And then… the shower. Let’s just say I had what may have been the best hotel shower of my life. The pressure, the space, the design. It all felt like a quiet little spa moment.
Dining options…..fabulous service
The Mingara Club is just a short stroll away and completely elevated the stay.
Dinner at Hadley’s Restaurant
The food was excellent with generous portions, a well-paced service, and a lovely atmosphere. But what stood out most? The staff. These young team members were among the most polite, and professional I’ve encountered , and I’ve dined in restaurants across the world.
The Roasted Berry Café
This became a two-stop ritual. First for a takeaway hot chocolate after dinner (which may just have ruined me for all others), then again the next morning for coffee and croissants.
Every drink was made with care, every staff member radiated pride in their work, and the energy of the space was just right.
Thoughtfulness in every corner
It might sound odd to mention, but the ladies bathroom inside the Mingara Club deserves its own praise:
Stylish and spotless
Soft hand towels (not paper)
Hair straighteners
Dedicated beauty bar lighting
This level of attention to detail really sealed the deal for me, it’s what turns a nice stay into a memorable one.
The extras (you’ll want to explore)
The Mingara Club isn’t just a dining destination. It includes:

Beauty salon

Hairdresser
Child minding
Even its own Australia Post
It’s a full lifestyle precinct, which makes Encore the perfect base for work, wellness or a little solo writing retreat.
Final thoughts
Encore by Mingara delivered on every single level. From the elegant design to the outstanding service. I went for convenience… and found myself already planning my return.
It’s that rare blend of calm, comfort and quiet luxury, all without the over-the-top price tag.
I might even start writing my next book there — if only to give myself a reason to keep going back.
Would I stay again?
Yes. Again, and again… and again.
