What does Start Living really mean?

Have you ever experienced a defining moment in your life?

One of those moments when you question everything, when the trivial stuff fades away, and you're left contemplating what truly matters?

For me, that moment arrived when I faced death.

I vividly remember lying in that hospital bed, surrounded by doctors and nurses, knowing that they were prepared to intervene to keep me alive. In that critical moment, with my two daughters, loving husband, and mother relying on me, I found a fierce determination to survive.

In the months of recovery that followed, I had ample time to reflect on the pace at which most of us live our lives. We're often on autopilot, rushing through each day without truly living. We let ourselves get caught up in the mundane, the trivial, without daring to chase our dreams.

That experience prompted a profound shift in my perspective. I decided it was time to stop spinning through life and start living it fully.

Now, I won't sugarcoat it—this journey hasn't been easy. The challenges persist—the mean girls, the everyday stresses, the motherly guilt. But I've armed myself with tools to navigate through them.

One of the most invaluable tools has been surrounding myself with a supportive network. Whether it's family, friends, or mentors, having people you can rely on and confide in can make all the difference.

Another tip is to prioritise self-care. Carve out time in your schedule for activities that nourish your mind, body, and soul. Whether it's meditation, exercise, or simply enjoying a quiet cup of tea, taking care of yourself is essential for overall well-being.

Practice gratitude daily. Take a moment each day to reflect on the things you're thankful for, no matter how small. Cultivating a mindset of gratitude can help shift your perspective and bring more positivity into your life.

Set boundaries. Learn to say no to things that drain your energy or don't align with your priorities. Setting boundaries allows you to protect your time and focus on what truly matters to you.

And finally, don't be afraid to chase your dreams. Whether it's starting a new hobby, pursuing a passion project, or making a career change, give yourself permission to go after what sets your soul on fire.

So, I invite you to ask yourself—are you merely spinning through life, or are you ready to embrace the journey and truly start living?
